Meet the team

Shaun Keers – Managing Director

Over 40 years in the scaffolding industry Shaun has been involved at the most senior of management levels from the age of 21 taking care of large construction projects from an early age. Roles have included supervisor manager and director of access scaffolding contractors, highlighted projects being Metro Centre, Leeds railway station, Manchester Piccadilly & Newcastle Central Station totalling in excess of £12m of scaffolding works. JTL have grown to a £5m group in 4 years of trading.

Hughie Skivington – Special Projects Operations Director

Over 25 years’ experience in the scaffolding industry in positions from trainee scaffolder through to director level. This includes vast extensive knowledge of various industries inclusive of M.O.D, Oil & Gas, Infrastructure, Industrial, Civil and commercial. Primary responsibilities within the JTL Group is operational/Safety management with past experience worldwide both on and offshore. Ghana, Congo, Nigeria, St Johns (Canada), Las Palmas.

Advanced Scaffolder/Inspector/Supervisor, SSSTS, NEBOSH, IOSH Managing Safely.

Dave Williams – General Manager

Over 30 years’ experience in the scaffolding industry working for national contractors and management owned access businesses. Roles have included estimating surveying contracts management and director positions. Sectors have included construction, building and civils, railway, infrastructure, industrial, heritage & refurb and oil & gas industries. Responsibilities include estimating, surveying and H&S advice, qualified to NEBOSH Gen Cert level.

Andy Horton – Managing Surveyor

Over 15 years’ experience in the scaffolding industry working nationally on many major projects. Roles held Scaffolder, Supervisor, Estimator, Quantity Surveyor and Director. Sectors have included Construction, Oil & Gas, Industrial, Civils and Infrastructure. Responsibilities with JTL are to oversee all projects from the original contact with the client through to the final account.

Steve Hague – Operations Director

Stephen has managed and supervised for 20 years in the building, construction and infrastructure sectors. His passion and drive to complete each and every project safely and on time has led to  continued customer retention of Engie, Springs and MGL to name a few. Stephen is a flexible manager and will regularly be present on sites outside of normal hours to supervise the scaffolding works in environments which require time scales and programs to be met. Project highlight was the erection of the access scaffolding for the new roof at Leeds Railway Station for ultimate client Railtrack the scaffold package finishing in excess of c£4m.

Carl Orman – Business Development Manager

With over 35 years’ experience in the scaffolding industry Carl has risen from scaffold labourer after leaving school through to Business Development Manager. Carl prides himself with his commitment to safety and working in a challenging environments including railway and infrastructure projects for blue chip companies such as Spencer, Network Rail, Wates, Galliford Try, Lend Lease & Laing O Rourke. Scaffolding packages could be in excess of £6m managed and supervised by Carl. With his attention to detail and customer satisfaction he has secured repeat business year on year with numerous long term clients in excess of 25 years. Carls technical knowledge of the scaffolding industry has led to the continued committed support to the customer and the successful completion of each project.

Peter Raffle – Commercial Manager

Over 15 years’ experience. This includes vast extensive knowledge of various, Infrastructure, Industrial, Civil and commercial as well as the private sector, synthesise information and knowledge to achieve a solution. Primary responsibilities within the JTL Group is Public relations and all legalities.

Paul Flannigan – Construction Director

An extremely proactive Construction Director who has been managing in the construction industry for 20 years. Overseeing many projects including domestic and commercial new builds, home refurbishments, extensions etc. Has great pride in quality, delivering on time, on budget and to specification.
